Project Summary
Diamond spin qubits are attracting increasing attention due to their unique combination of high-efficiency optical readout and long coherence times, even at room temperature.
The ASPIRE–DIAMONDQTECH project brings together leading research teams from Japan and Germany to advance diamond-based quantum technologies for quantum sensing and quantum communication.
By integrating expertise in diamond material science, coherent spin control, surface chemistry, and photonic integration, the project aims to establish a strong international research platform and foster the next generation of researchers.
ASPIRE–DIAMONDQTECH is jointly led by principal investigators from Japan and Germany and is implemented through close coordination among the participating research groups.
The project brings together complementary strengths from both countries in diamond synthesis, coherent spin control, and quantum applications.
The research program is structured into four work packages, comprising application-oriented research (WP1: quantum sensing and WP2: quantum communication) and enabling technologies (WP3: diamond material science and WP4: coherent control tools).
